You will need to use Embroidery foam (not craft foam). Sulky and Gunold are 2 reputable embroidery foams. The photo sample I stitched is the 10" wide on a size large comfort colors sweatshirt with white 3mm Sulky brand craft foam with light pink thread. I recommend using a basting stitch OR print it out for a template so you know where to lay your foam down before stitching, slow your machine down and use a new 75/11 BP needle. I normally use a 65/90 BP on my melco for knits but did change it to 75/11 after a needle break. After it is completely finished, you pull off the foam. You can use a heat gun (available on amazon), blow dryer (never tried that just read some do) or a lighter (that is what I did-keep it moving!) to clean up and seal all the edges. The design WILL need clean up. I recommend searching up a YouTube video prior to purchasing and/or stitching so you know all the steps.
